I know this post is late, but hey, better late than never, right?? Ha…… I had a good time at the CAPE Cornwall event. It was my first time showing there. Now I did not really do that great as far as sales go, but it wasn’t horrible. I never really go in expecting to make much right now. I am putting the work in, and I know that every little bit helps. Even if you do not remember everyone there will be people that remember you or your work. So put the effort in-it does make a difference.
There was really good energy at the con, and everyone was very friendly. Another thing I have learnt is that you usually see the same people at all of these cons throughout the area. So make friends and be nice to people is my advice.
The con was easy to get to, and that area of Cornwall was very easy to get around. The hotel I stayed in with my friends was right by a cluster of restaurants, and there were some stores just across the road. Also, the Value Village store there is awesome. Just saying. They had really good prices and a plethora of 90s early 2000s cds. It was great. I picked up a Baha Men cd, Backstreet Boys, and a JLo cd.
I would like to go back again, and I think that I would stay in that area again because of how convenient and affordable it was.
