MAD Magazine–Brainstorming group assignment

One of last week’s assignments for Interpretive Illustration class was a group assignment. We had to pick a topic that we wanted to explore, and we needed to make a mind map for it. Afterwards we were to pick 3 pieces of art to use as our composition bases, and also, we had to pick 3 separate topics for our versions. The illustrations could be satirical in nature, and they were supposed to be surrealist. For one of the compositions we chose the Queen News of the World album cover art. Once we had decided on our topics I choose to work on this piece. They did not need to be fully rendered pieces; roughs were fine. I did add some lighting to mine because I felt it helped the mood more.
